As I've said elsewhere, prescription holders in the UK can legally consume their script in any public space, but there are plenty of reasons why people would choose to opt for cannabis-specific spaces as their go to, or just once in a while. They're also a handy source of information for those interested in pursuing a script. There still aren't many, but here's a summary of what there is.

Moretonhampstead, Devon

While not a vaping lounge per se, Seed Our Future now have their own shop, so an excellent cause in the campaign for descheduling, as well as court support for cannabis consumers. They have an information hub where you can vaporize your prescription.

It would be impossible to put any other venue than Stay Medicated in BallyClare first in this section. Because it was the first, and till very recently, the only. Kudos to Alan for that! I touched base with him (April 2024) to find out details for this listing and he told me that the club now has 256 members, having been open 2.5 years, so I think it can safely be counted as a success.

To save my brain some work, here's a quote direct from the man himself to summarise what you can expect: 

"We offer a safe space for anyone interested in cannabis or is looking for access to private prescriptions. We offer a membership that gives members free use of all our dry herb vaporisers we have instore. We stock PAX and Storz and Bickel mainly but if its a high end dry herb vaporiser then there is a good chance you will find it here. The idea behind this is so that those paying for a private prescription who don't have a few hundred pounds lying about to spend on an expensive device can try them all first. Our membership is a £25 fee that is valid for 12 months. There is no monthly members fee."

I'm reliably informed that there's more in the pipeline in terms of such spaces up north of the border, but in the meantime, I touched base with the lovely folks at The Entourage Effect and here's some of the information about what they have to offer (plus pictures, because we all like pictures)

J.S. Medivape Lounge, Newport 

A new members club where you can also go to learn more about cannabis and try their range of vaporizing devices (I know so many people, including myself, who've bought vaporizers they didn't get on with, and obviously they're expensive, so I personally think this is a great advantage to lounges and shops like this)
